DAKAR (BEL-AIR) CEMETERY, Senegal
Location:
Bel-Air Cemetery will be found to the left of the road leading to the coast and Point de Bel-Air. This is located in the eastern area of Dakar just past the ferry quay to the island of Goree. The Commonwealth war graves are spread throughout the cemetery but are easily found with the help of the local caretaker.
Historical Information:
The cemetery belongs to the municipality, there are 4 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war and 18 of the 1939-1945 war.
