The Australian War Graves Photographic Archive is not only endeavouring to procure photos of present Australian war graves and memorial commemorations, but also original photos of Australia's military history. We are seeking in particular:
- Photos of Australian Military Personnel
- Original photos of Cemeteries and Memorials
- Photos of battlefield locations, specifically displaying Australians.
- Photos of Military equipment, vehicles, ships., relatd to Australia.
- Atestation Papers, Military Records, Awards Certificates, Stories
AUSTRALIAN MILITARY HEROES
Photos of our past Australian military heroes would allow for us to include these on the eventual Archive Web-site. In return for photos of grave or memorial commemorations, an exchange scheme has been implemented. We are seeking these original photos to add to relevant details of casualties commemorated.
MILITARY CEMETERIES AND MEMORIALS

We are seeking original photos of cemeteries and memorials. These may take the form of of postcard or origianl images, that were taken on the battlefields, in country towns and so on. We require high quality copies of these images. Please don't send the originals. Photo copies are not acceptable, unless they are high resolution colour or B/W laser copies. |
BATTLEFIELD PHOTOS

ORIGINAL MILITARY DOCUMENTS
To undertake the appropriate research for commemoration, we are seeking copies of original service
records, atestation papers, awards certificates, transfer documents.
